The Best Eater Staff Picks on Sale for Amazon Prime Day 2025

Dish & Tell Team

This Amazon Prime Day, we’re going straight to the deals that pull their weight — meaning, 15 percent off and above, minimum — and only reaching for the best kitchen- and food-related sales that we know we’ll love. The mega savings event will run from July 8–11 (yep, it’s extra-long this year) and will be filled with deals on mid-century-modern-style dining chairs, cult-fave multivitamins, and a postmodern Italian moka pot that deserves an anthropomorphized bit on Pee-Wee’s Playhouse.

As food shopping writers, we’re always scouring the digital shelves for the best olive oils, helpful kitchen tech, and personality-forward kitchen appliances (see: Paris Hilton’s “That’s Hot” tea kettle, which is 33 percent off) that will make our lives run a little smoother and feel a little lighter. And while Prime Day can easily feel overwhelming, our goal is to cut the small talk and tell you exactly what we’re going to add to cart this week.

Arrange the beverage medley of your choice (may we suggest: Topo Chico, cold brew, and kombucha), and let’s shop.

A cute mini rice cooker from Toshiba

The main reasons I haven’t bought a rice cooker sooner is because 1) they’re big and 2) the nice ones are expensive (although, this fancy Zojirushi one is over $100 off for Prime Day). But this small, oddly adorable three-cup rice cooker from Toshiba is, as the TikTok realm says, the solulu. While it may have a petite footprint and a perfect-for-one-or-two batch size, it’s still packed with all of the features you’d expect from a well-made Japanese rice cooker, including an automatic moisture content sensor and eight cooking functions (white rice, quick cook, brown rice, mixed grain, slow cook, porridge, cake, and egg) — so, might I add, it’s not even just for rice. At under $75, this feels like a wise Prime Day purchase (especially before tariffs threaten to make prices on little appliances like these skyrocket). —Hilary Pollack, senior commerce editor

There’s no summer without a YETI cooler

We’re right in the middle of summer, and if you’re like me, that means a lot of park, beach, and backyard hangs. Truthfully though, I live in LA, so all of those things are year-round activities. SoCal living, baby! Having a good cooler is essential, and as you’ve probably heard, YETI makes the “it” coolers of our era. Personally, I find the YETI Tundra 35 Cooler is essential — not a want, but a need, because there is absolutely no way I’m sitting in 100-degree heat and drinking a lukewarm Diet Coke. I need that baby ice cold. It has three inches of PermaFrost Insulation and FatWall design; in other words, she thicc, and she keeps the goods frosty. The wild vine red colorway is currently 20% off so she’s also a great price. —Alex Zaragoza, deals writer

This fancy Heraclea olive oil set to stash away until gift season

Come December, it can be hard not to stress over all of the surprise gifting situations that arise. A friend might unexpectedly give you an expensive candle, only for you to realize you have nothing to offer back; the hunt for the right present for your mom might repeatedly prove fruitless. That’s why when you see a great gift at other times of year, it’s wise to buy it and stash it away like a squirrel and his walnut, and then when the holidays roll around, you’ll be well-prepared. Anyway, Heraclea makes silky, cold-pressed olive oil in beautiful bottles, and this set of four varieties — currently 20% off — is the ideal no-brainer gift for just about anyone in your life who enjoys cooking and food. —HP

This aesthetically pleasing Chefman blender for under $100

I take umbrage with self-proclaimed countertop blenders, because why would I want to keep something that looks like the arm of a busted Transformer out on my serene and limited countertop space? Of course, I’m 99.99 percent kidding, but I also do find joy in a small appliance that can fit on a countertop while looking slightly more chic than your average budget pick, which is precisely why I fell for this Chefman blender. The 1380-watt motor can pummel everything from ice to nuts, but its the sleek design of the blender that makes it not only inoffensive, but covetable. Not bad for under $100. — Francky Knapp, commerce writer

A Breville toaster that makes the exact toast of your dreams

For months, my household was using our oven as a toaster. My partner had some mental block around toasters, but I finally put an end to it. What’s next, going to the coffee shop on a private jet? So I gave him an assignment: Find the best toaster, then buy that toaster. That’s how the Breville Bit More Toaster came into our lives. While I wanted something cuter, I accept the sleek sturdiness of this stainless steel appliance because it makes absolute perfect toast. It has an LED indicator where you can monitor the toastiness of your bread, as well as a “Lift & Look” feature where you can literally take a quick peek mid-toasting. But my favorite feature is the “A Bit More” button. If your toast pops up and you think “this can use a bit more,” guess what you push? Exactly. I’ve never had a bad piece of toast since, a privilege easily worth the sale price of $87.99. — AZ

A Paris Hilton kettle for those who are sliving

Paris Hilton is the culture’s leading expert on hotness. She can determine or affirm the hotness of anything from kitten heels and the glorious sapphic HBO series The L Word to more literal hot things like spicy chicken wings. So when it comes to the temperature of water, I know with zero doubts that the super multihyphenate (DJ/actress/reality star/perfumer//chef with a legit fun line of cookware) can be trusted, and it only makes sense that she has her own tea kettle. However, if you’re not as confident in knowing when water is truly hot, the “That’s Hot” kettle is here to help. I definitely need a kettle that either whistles or clicks; otherwise, I’ll completely forget I even put water in it to heat in the first place. Paris came through with not just a whistle, but one other defining feature true to the queen herself: a graphic with her iconic catchphrase (“That’s Hot,” duh) that changes color from black to pink, indicating when your water is, well, you know. For just $19.99, you can be saving and sliving. — AZ

The knife deals are crazy this Prime Day — including on this high-end Henckels set

If you’ve been waiting to buy some nice chef’s knives or steak knives, I can tell you after an ungodly number of hours spent combing through Amazon that the Prime Day deals are stellar, including on top brands like Shun, Misen, HexClad, Miyabi, and Zwilling. One of my most neurotic particular behaviors is that I cannot stand watching people use dull knives, likely caused by the fact that my parents didn’t sharpen any of their knives a single time in 30 years and then would gaslight me and tell me that their duller-than-a-butter-knife cheapo chef’s knife was just fine even though it couldn’t cut through literally anything. I finally bought them a couple of nice Japanese knives a few years ago and now they can finally appreciate the difference. But I digress!!! This sexy Henckels Damascus steel set is 34% off and if you throw out your dull discount-store knives and use these instead, it will make me so happy. And it will make you happy, since you’ll actually be able to slice things. —HP

This Fortessa glassware is giving Madonna Inn

Founded in 1993 by two brothers who were inspired by high-quality German ceramics, Fortessa now makes a wide array of beautifully designed, high-quality glassware, flatware, stoneware, knives, and more, and is used in more than 80% of four- and five-star hotels. Wild! Tons of Fortessa goods are on sale for Prime Day, but I’m especially obsessed with all of its Hobnail glass pieces, which offer retro-inspired, kitschy-but-classy, Madonna Inn-esque appeal. Wouldn’t you just love to sip a julep from these glasses on a hot day?

These stupid-cute Marimekko towels

I was in Tokyo a few weeks ago and wandered into the Marimekko store in Ometosando, and it’s a miracle I didn’t walk out of there with just about everything. But it’s a good thing I didn’t, because now a bunch of Marimekko stuff is super on sale on Amazon, of all places, for Prime Day. —HP

The best pens ever are Pilot G2s and I stand by that

I have been devoted to these pens since middle school. The way I see it, Pilot dropped the G2 gel pen in 1997 and the world was never the same. I use them for everything. Open any drawer in my house and there’s a strong chance you will find a Pilot G2. In addition to being a shopping editor, a food writer, and an opinionated person, I also draw a lot, and the 0.38-millimeter ultra fine point on these particular pens is perfect for detailed work. Pilot G2 hive, rise up. —HP

These Laetitia Rouget dishes look like they’re from a high-end boutique

The charming French home goods brand launched by designer Laetitia Rouget — who has collabed with style-conscious retailers like Anthropologie, Selfridges, and Harrods — prides itself on being bold, cheeky, and elegant, so much so that it’s the first message you see on their website. They’re not wrong; Rouget’s ceramics and glassware are undeniably sweet and quirky, the kind of accent goods that friends will squeal over when they come over. When I found that the brand has a small, curated assortment of ceramic housewares on Amazon and, better yet, that a couple of said goods are on Prime Day sale, I squealed. The Amour shell dishes especially caught my eye with their sweet, pastel seashell design. A real find on sale for 25% off, but the snail candleholders are worth the discounted splurge, too. —AZ

I’m ready for an upgraded Waterpik water flosser

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I was given a long list of items to buy as well as a guide to lifestyle changes that would help me through treatment. On that list was buying a water flosser, because my teeth and gums would become much more sensitive after chemo. I picked up this Waterpik water flosser, mainly because it’s compact, cordless, and easy to use; I didn’t want one of the bulkier versions that takes up too much bathroom counter space or requires plugging in. Its size has made it great for travel, too. It’s been a game changer — using the Waterpik every day feels like a power washer for my teeth, so much so I like to imagine my chompers as Nissan sedans getting sprayed down at a car wash. You, too, can get that oddly specific feeling for 40% off. —AZ

This luxury air mattress is a game-changer for my guests

Recently, I had three friends come to visit me from out of town for a fun girl’s weekend. I bought snacks and wine (obviously), but then realized I did not have an extremely necessary basic for hosting guests: an air mattress. I don’t live in the Downton Abbey mansion, and my besties would need something comfy to sleep on. The one I used to own got lost in a move and I put off replacing it since my family usually brings their own during the holidays. Cue the SoundAsleep Dream Series air mattress. Its height makes it feel like a real bed, and it has ComfortCoil Technology and a SureGrip bottom which help it maintain firmness and keep it from sliding around. Every size is on sale for 20% off, with the twin XL size reduced by 42%. —AZ

My favorite scent of Meyers hand soap

My sister and niece came to visit not too long ago. At one point my sister emerged from the bathroom and asked what my hand soap was. “It smells so good!” she said. She assumed I’d splurged on a luxury hand soap, which I definitely have in the past, but this time it was a much more affordable answer. She had just washed her hands with none other than… Mrs. Meyers Clean Day Liquid Hand Soap in the “rose” scent. I keep it in simple glass bottles in my bathrooms and at the kitchen sink, and in addition to smelling fabulous (and expensive), the brand’s clean ingredients — essential oils, aloe vera, and olive oil — keep my hands soft. It’s 47% off for a pack of three on sale right now. —AZ

This Black+Decker handheld kitchen vacuum for all my spills

Sometimes, I spill a pile of pine nuts/coffee beans/flour on the floor and I just don’t feel like schlepping out my standing vacuum for the closet. Instead, I propose making this cordless Black+Decker vacuum your dedicated, handheld kitchen vacuum for peace of mind. Besides, think of how handy it will be for sucking up petals and foliage every time you arrange bouquets or babysit your friend’s tree frogs. — FK

Snobby-food-writer-approved protein bars that taste like actual candy

As a longtime food writer and a person who loves candy, I find most protein bars completely unpalatable, if not wretched. “Cookie dough”? Yeah, OK, you think a lump made out of peas, cashews, and egg whites is going to taste anything like a gooey salted chocolate chip cookie? Do not gaslight me!!! Anyway, by contrast, the coconut Built Puff bars actually, really taste just like a Rocky Road, or a s’more, or any other real-life combo of chocolate and marshmallow. Somehow, through the magic of science, they’re also healthy-ish (17 grams of protein, added collagen for skin and hair benefits, and just 140 calories per bar). They’re my favorite on-the-go snack to have on hand in your gym bag or purse, and right now, they’re 20% off. I’ll be stocking up. —HP

A handsome, functional Breville espresso machine for lazy people

It’s a long story, but I didn’t start drinking coffee until my mid-30s (i.e., a couple of years ago) and as a result, I never properly learned how to do all the grinding and shot-pulling and that type of stuff. I also am a pretentious food writer and I only drink espresso and its various forms involving additional water and milk. As a result, I am a Nespresso pod person but I want a beautiful-looking machine in my kitchen that can make me a perfect cortado. Big brat, I know. Anyway, the Breville Creatista Pro — which I own and use! — is the answer, and it’s on sale for 41% off for Prime Day. It makes great coffee drinks using Nespresso pods, has a touchscreen for picking your drink, and the frothing wand makes perfect microfoam. I love mine! Also great for when you have houseguests and want to impress them by bringing them a vanilla latte in bed. NBD. —HP

This Alexa smart plug lets you command even your appliances

I was new to the world of smart plugs, but here’s how this works: the Alexa-compatible Amazon smart plug is simply a voice-activated outlet that allows you to command your plugged-in appliances — your toaster, your electric kettle, your little kitchen lamp — like a wizard from afar. As someone who has heard endless good things about it from peers with busy kitchens, I’m eager to try it while it’s 48% off. —FK

These instant Korean lattes are surprisingly tasty (and caffeinated)

It has been a summer of jet lag for me, and when you wake up in an unfamiliar place feeling like you’re in outer space, you need caffeine to appear as soon as possible so that you don’t miss the hotel breakfast buffet. I am not typically into instant coffee at all, but I love these single-serving KimlyParc instant Korean lattes that are already mixed with coconut-based vegan creamer and just the right amounts of cane sugar and Himalayan salt. Just add hot water! They’re quite tasty and so easy to bring with you anywhere, and yes, you’ll feel the caffeine boost. —HP

A mid-century-modern record player stand for under $60

I need a new turntable (still hoping some Audio-Technica deals will drop this week), but first, I need a new record player stand, and I spotted this rather attractive one hidden within the bowels of Prime Day. NGL, when I see a nice-looking piece of furniture at this low of a price I worry that it might be garbaggio. But Loft + Ivy is actually an American home goods brand, and this console holds up to 66 pounds and has lots of thoughtful details. For that price, I don’t think you’re going to find a more attractive, sturdy MCM-style stand. —HP

The ultimate La Roche-Posay sunscreen

I’ve always had extremely sensitive skin. I had to bring aloe vera to school in case my skin got irritated, which was a very cool thing for a girl in fifth grade. Needless to say, I’ve spent decades devoted to research on which moisturizers work for me. Sunscreens, in particular, became my latest obsession when I began chemotherapy. The sun, while beautiful and a provider of warmth, is also now my nemesis, which has impacted my fave pastime of summertime grill ‘n’ chill. La Roche-Posay products have turned out to be some of the best for me, pre- and post- cancer, especially their Anthelios 50 Mineral Tinted Ultra Light Sunscreen. It’s fragrance-free, leaves zero white cast, glides on super light, and has a touch of tint that also gives a healthy glow. I’ve been going through bottles like crazy, so I’m very happy it’s $10 off. — AZ

Extremely useful hand wipes that smell like a high-end spa

I’m obsessed with these hand wipes — my mom actually showed them to me. You know when you want to eat a sandwich but feel like you’ve been touching stuff in public? These are ideal for giving your hands a little shower before and after your Italian hoagie or whatever. They smell incredible— aromatherapeutic, honestly — and are individually wrapped, so I keep three or four in my purse at all times. I go through boxes quickly, so I’m stoked when they’re on sale! —HP

A German-made bread knife at a steal

I’ve been a fan of Imarku blade smiths for years. The company first earned my fealty with its affordable 8-inch chef’s knife, which can go head-to-head with knives three times its price when it comes to durability, sharpness, and handle control. This Prime Day, I will be bringing home a much-needed bread knife from the brand, because there’s nothing worse than trying to cut through a rotund, crusty sourdough loaf with a mediocre serrated knife. This high-carbon stainless steel blade is also 10 inches long (perfect for slicing longer loaves) and comes in a charming red velvet-lined box for storage or gift-giving. — FK

My Apple Watch is my entire personality now for better or for worse

I held off a very long time in terms of becoming an Apple Watch person because I was worried it would make me feel more online and attached to me phone, but now that I have one, I’ve found that it’s actually the opposite. Now I know if I’m getting a text or call and don’t find myself peeping at my screen every time a notification from Depop comes up or an Uber Eats promo or whatever another inane entity vies for your attention. I also love tracking how active I am each day, and best of all, the Apple Watch is great for travel; just put the address into your maps app, start walking, and the watch will give you a gentle vibration when it’s time to make a turn, so you’re not stuck staring at your phone like a dingdong. I recommend just buying whichever GPS-equipped one has the biggest discount for Prime Day; you’ll want to get a more personalized band after the fact, anyway. —HP

The Oura Ring, the wearable tech half my friends won’t shut up about

I’m personally an Apple Watch wearer — those are on sale for Prime Day, too, BTW — but my sister and several other people in my social network have gotten really into the cult (not literally… I don’t think) of Oura rings. These tiny rings chill on your finger passively observing all of your daily habits and provide incredibly detailed feedback on your sleep, exercise levels, and other biomarkers, and offer such a crazy amount of data that it’s spawned an entire subculture. They’re rarely on sale, so it’s kind of a big deal that they’re 15% off for Prime Day. —HP

Weather-resistant outdoor lights for al fresco sparkle

Ambiance is all about lighting, and if you’re dining or sipping outdoors this summer, you should consider investing in a set of warm-glow, weather-resistant bulb lights that can deliver the kind of gauzy, Luca Guadagnino movie-esque atmosphere that your charcuterie board and XXL burrata deserve — especially for 37% off. — FK

These single-serving Nordic Ware sheet pans are perfect for re-heating sandwiches

As Amy McCarthy writes in this Eater article about the unsung powers of smaller sheet pans, Nordic Ware makes some of the most best baking sheets, and explains why they’re “affordable, durable, and consistently recommended by other bakers.” This set of two 10-inch long baking sheets is perfect for reheating a panini, making a small batch of late-night cookies, or roasting a single cheesy potato or tray of nachos. — FK
