❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

We love how refreshing this crisp is, with all the berries and then the delicious crisp topping. Loaded with oats, nuts, brown sugar and cinnamon, it’s wonderful topped with ice cream. This is also very easy to make and reheats well too. If you have never tried a crisp, now is your reminder! This dessert is perfect for just a few people as it really doesn’t make a huge amount.

SWAPS

In this recipe, you can use fresh or frozen berries, which is excellent for any time of the year. Delicious with fresh berries during the summer and frozen in the winter. You can also switch out any berries you like!

This dish will have juice in the bottom under the berries, so it’s delicious with ice cream. Spoon the juice over the top.. you will love it!

Mixed Berry Crisp

This berry crisp is so easy to make and a refreshing dessert any time of year. Top it with ice cream for a real treat!

Ingredients:

5 cups mixed berries fresh or frozen1/4 cup all-purpose flour1/4 cup white granulated sugar1/4 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon lemon juice1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Topping Ingredients for berries:

1 cup of old-fashioned rolled oats unprepared1 cup all-purpose flour1/4 cup white granulated sugar3/4 cup brown sugar1 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/4 teaspoon salt1 1/2 sticks butter or 12 tablespoons melted

Combine berries with flour, sugar, salt, lemon juice and vanilla extract. Toss and mix well. Place in a 9 x 9 baking dish or any baking dish you like. Mix topping ingredients and place on berries.

Topping Instructions

Combine and mix well with spoon. Sprinkle over berry mixture.

Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven 45 minutes. Delicious with ice cream or whipped cream on top. Makes about 6 to 8 servings.

We used a mixture of strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries.
