Ingredients to make the recipe.

Gather the ingredients to prepare our Baked Brie in Puff Pastry recipe. Culinary professionals call this the “Mise en Place,” which means “everything in its Place.”

Setting up your ingredients not only helps speed up the cooking process but also ensures you have all the necessary ingredients on hand to make the recipe.

Can I Make Adjustments to the Recipe?

If you don’t have puff pastry, phyllo dough makes a lighter, crispier alternative. Simply layer 4-5 sheets of phyllo, brushing each with butter, then wrap your Brie and bake until golden. The result is extra flaky and just as indulgent.

Want to make it bite-sized so that guests can grab and move on? Cut the puff pastry into small squares, fill with a cube of Brie and a dab of jam, fold over, and bake. I like to use a muffin tin when making these cheesy pockets of joy.

Camberet is an excellent alternative to Brie and tastes very similar. It has the same great melty texture when baked. Triple creme cheese also has a melty texture and will be even richer and creamier in flavor than Brie.

Recipe Variations

Sweet: Top the brie with apricot or raspberry jam, then sprinkle chopped pecans or almonds before wrapping.

Savory: Add caramelized onions, fresh herbs, or a touch of garlic butter under the pastry.

Holiday Spin: Add cranberry sauce and a dash of orange zest for a festive twist.

Celebration: Drizzle honey over the finished brie and add pomegranate arils for a touch of sparkle.
