Cut the wings into three sections, discarding the wing tips, or saving them for soup.
Pat the chicken dry with a paper towel.

Add the garlic powder, sweet paprika, brown sugar, and salt to a small bowl.
Mix the dry seasonings to combine.
Coat the wings with the dry seasoning rub.
Place the seasoned chicken on a wire rack to marinate for 20-30 minutes. This will give the chicken time to come to room temperature.
