Chipotle Mexican Grillis launching a “Build-Your-Own Chipotle” meal kit, a digital-exclusive offering designed to feed four to six people. The customizable family style meal features ingredients that allow customers to create their own bowls, salads or soft tacos at home.
“For the first time ever, guests can use our digital ordering channels… to bring a personalized Chipotle makeline to their kitchen with just a few taps,” Curt Garner, Chipotle’s president, chief strategy and technology officer, said in a company press release.
Each kit includes a choice of one protein, one rice, one bean, a premium side of guacamole or queso blanco, three salsas or toppings, shredded cheese and lettuce, two large bags of chips and eight soft taco tortillas. The meal kit also comes with forks, napkins and bowls for six people.
To celebrate the launch, Chipotle will offer a limited-time promotion for $10 off the first “Build-Your-Own Chipotle” order. Customers may use the code TRYBYOC on the Chipotle app or website from through Oct. 21, or until 500,000 redemptions have been made.
“As students and families settle into the back-to-school routine, ‘Build-Your-Own Chipotle’ makes it easier than ever for parents, coaches and hosts to serve food they can feel good about at a great value,” Chris Brandt, Chipotle’s president and chief brand officer, said in the release.
