Australian Venue Co. has
acquired two pub businesses, the Jubilee Tavern in Airlie Beach, Qld, and the
Albion Hotel in Albury, NSW.
Australian Venue Co CEO, Paul
Waterson, said the two venues are a welcome addition to the AVC portfolio.
“Both of these pubs are an
important part of their local communities, and we want to keep it that way.
We’re excited to welcome the teams at both to the AVC family,” he said.
The popular Jubilee Tavern in
Airlie Beach includes a family-friendly bar and bistro, outdoor dining area,
kids’ playground, sports bar, TAB facilities and gaming room. Jubilee Tavern is
best known for its outdoor dining area and weekly specials, that are popular
with families in the area and guests at Island Gateway Holiday Park.
“It’s a real cracker, a
classic Queensland pub. We love the pub how it is – it’s family friendly and
popular with the locals, so we’re not looking to make major changes in the
short term. We’re looking forward to bringing the team on board,” he said.
The Albion Hotel, located in
the heart of Albury, includes a bistro, bar and rooftop bar which are available
exclusively for private events.
“It’s a fantastic function
venue, we’re excited to get cracking and deliver some absolutely top-notch
events for Albury locals,” said Bart Furst, Australian Venue Co’s Albury-based
Area Manager.
